Malta – Again!
For the fourth time, I spent over a week on the island, primarily to improve my English skills at ETI (Executive Training Institute Malta). Classes started daily at 9 a.m. in a small group of five participants from the Czech Republic and Germany. The topics discussed in the group mainly focused on professional communication skills but also included subjects such as the quality of life in Malta, quality control, energy resources, millennials in the workplace, gender balance and the glass ceiling, current news and affairs, and many other areas.

In my individual afternoon sessions, we also covered additional work-related topics, including VAT regulations and implementation, the national budget presentations in Malta and the UK (which took place that week), the German automotive industry, and even sailing, particularly the Rolex Cup.

The training was intense and, because we communicated in English the entire time, extremely effective. As in previous trainings, we were taught by experienced trainers from the UK and Malta – professionals from various fields with profound knowledge of international contexts.

In addition to the full-day training sessions, Malta itself had to be explored. The island’s cultural richness is astounding – one week is far too short to see everything. The pleasant climate at the end of October, with temperatures ranging from 21 to 25 degrees Celsius, made it particularly enjoyable to spend evenings outdoors at one of the lovely seaside restaurants. This alone gives me plenty of reasons to return.

Last but not least, a big thank you to our International Office and especially to Dr. Jörg for your help and support!
